Withdrawal Notice
For consumers under § 312g BGB (German Civil Code)
Right of withdrawal
You have the right to withdraw from this contract within fourteen days without giving any reason.
The withdrawal period is fourteen days from the day on which the contract is concluded.
To exercise your right of withdrawal you must notify us (contact details: see Impressum) by means of a clear statement (for example a letter sent by post or an email) of your decision to withdraw from this contract. You may use the sample withdrawal form below for this purpose, but its use is not mandatory.
To meet the withdrawal deadline it is sufficient that you send the notification of your exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.
Consequences of withdrawal
If you withdraw from this contract we shall reimburse you all payments received from you, without delay and no later than fourteen days from the day on which we receive notification of your withdrawal from this contract. We will use the same means of payment for this reimbursement that you used for the original transaction, unless we have expressly agreed otherwise with you; in no case will you be charged any fees as a result of this reimbursement.
If you have requested that performance of the service should begin during the withdrawal period, you must pay us a reasonable amount corresponding to the proportion of the services already performed up to the moment at which you inform us of your exercise of the right of withdrawal in respect of this contract, compared to the full scope of the services provided for in the contract.
Expiry of the right of withdrawal for digital services
Stift.io provides digital services within the meaning of § 312f(3) BGB (German Civil Code). For contracts on the supply of digital content or digital services, the right of withdrawal expires under § 356(5) BGB if
- you have expressly consented that we begin performance of the contract before the withdrawal period expires, and
- you have confirmed your awareness that by giving this consent you lose your right of withdrawal upon commencement of performance.
When you subscribe to a paid hosting plan, both confirmations are explicitly requested via the checkbox in the order form. By ticking that box you give your consent within the meaning of § 356(5) BGB and waive your right of withdrawal. Activation of the plan takes place immediately upon successful payment.
Note: independently of the right of withdrawal, you may cancel the contract at any time without giving reasons, with the pro rata refund described in the Terms of Service.
